Instructions
Preparation Steps
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
Beat in the eggs one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract, mixing well after each addition.
In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing just until combined.
Fold in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
Drop spoonfuls of cookie dough onto prepared baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
Bake for 9-11 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown. The centers should remain soft.
Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack.
Notes
Add a sprinkle of sea salt on top of the cookies before baking for an extra flavor boost!
