  • 12 slices white sandwich bread Use soft, fresh bread for best results.
  • 8 oz Havarti cheese Feel free to substitute with your favorite melting cheese.
  • 5 oz canned pineapple slices Drained thoroughly.
  • 4 tbsp butter Softened for easier spreading.

Preparation Steps

  • Preheat your skillet over medium heat.
  • Spread butter on one side of each slice of bread.
  • Lay half of the bread slices butter-side down onto the skillet.
  • Layer cheese and a slice of pineapple on each piece of bread in the skillet.
  • Top with remaining bread slices, butter-side up.
  • Cook until golden brown, about 3-5 minutes per side, flipping carefully.
  • Once both sides are golden and the cheese is melted, remove from skillet.
  • Cut each sandwich into quarters and serve warm.

Notes

For extra flavor, try adding a sprinkle of cayenne pepper or serve with a side of sweet chili sauce.
