FROZEN BERRIES, CAKE MIX AND SPRITE!

A super-easy mixed berry dump cake made with frozen berries, boxed cake mix and lemon-lime soda. Minimal prep, no mixing bowl required — perfect for a quick dessert.

  • 4 cups frozen mixed berries Do not thaw
  • 1 box yellow cake mix 15.25 oz box
  • 12 fl oz lemon-lime soda (Sprite) Use regular, not diet
  • 0.5 cup unsalted butter melted
  • tsp vanilla extract

Preparation Steps

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  • Spread the frozen mixed berries evenly in the prepared baking dish.
  • Sprinkle the dry yellow cake mix evenly over the top of the berries, covering them completely.
  • Drizzle the melted butter evenly over the cake mix so it soaks down through the mix.
  • Slowly pour the lemon-lime soda over the top, allowing it to soak in. Do not stir.
  • Bake uncovered for 40–45 minutes, or until the top is golden and bubbly and the berries are hot.
  • Let the cake cool for 10–15 minutes before serving. Serve warm with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream if desired.

Notes

For variation, use all blueberries or strawberries. You can substitute butter with melted coconut oil for a slightly different flavor.
