  • 1.25 lb ground beef use lean for a healthier option
  • 0.5 cup basil leaves fresh for maximum flavor
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce adjust for personal taste
  • 1 tbsp fish sauce optional for depth
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar light or dark
  • 10 oz rice paper wraps enough for rolling

Instructions
 

Preparation Steps

  • In a skillet, heat the ground beef over medium heat until browned.
  • Add minced garlic, soy sauce, fish sauce, brown sugar, and basil to the pan. Stir well.
  • Soak rice paper wraps in warm water until pliable.
  • Place a spoonful of beef mixture on wrap, fold in the sides, and roll tightly.
  • Repeat with remaining ingredients until all are rolled.
  • Serve fresh with additional basil and dipping sauce if desired.

Notes

For extra flavor, try adding sliced chilies to the beef mixture. Serve with a side of sweet chili sauce!
