  • 1.25 lb ground beef Use lean beef for less grease.
  • 1 medium onion Chopped finely.
  • 2 cups bell peppers Mixed colors, sliced.
  • 1 tsp garlic powder Or fresh garlic if preferred.
  • 8 oz cheese Cheddar or provolone slices.
  • 4 buns sub rolls Freshly baked or toasted.

Preparation Steps

  • In a skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned.
  • Add the chopped onion and bell peppers. Sauté until vegetables are tender.
  • Dust with garlic powder and mix well. Cook for another 2 minutes.
  • Place cheese slices on top of the beef mixture and cover until melted.
  • Spoon the cheesesteak mixture onto sub rolls and serve hot.

Notes

For extra flavor, add hot sauce or jalapeños. Perfect with crispy fries on the side!
