Preparation Steps

  • Preheat your oven to 225°F (107°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a clean mixing bowl, beat egg whites on medium speed until soft peaks form.
  • Gradually add powdered sugar, one tablespoon at a time, continuing to beat until stiff peaks form.
  • Gently fold in cocoa powder and vanilla extract until fully combined.
  • Spoon or pipe meringue onto prepared baking sheet, leaving space between each.
  • Bake for about 60 minutes, or until the meringues are dry and easily peel off parchment.
  • Turn off the oven and let the cookies cool inside for 30 minutes.
