Main Ingredients

  • 3 cups diced apples Use Granny Smith for tartness.
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 package egg roll wrappers Usually around 14 wrappers.
  • 1 egg egg (beaten for sealing)
  • 2 cups oil for frying Vegetable oil works best.

Preparation Steps

  • In a bowl, mix together the diced apples, brown sugar, cinnamon, and vanilla extract.
  • Lay an egg roll wrapper on a flat surface with a corner pointing towards you.
  • Place about 2 tablespoons of the apple mixture in the center of the wrapper.
  • Fold the corner over the filling, roll up tightly, and seal the edges with beaten egg.
  • In a deep skillet, heat the oil over medium-high heat. Fry the rolls in batches until golden brown.
  • Remove the egg rolls and drain on paper towels.
  • Serve warm with a dusting of powdered sugar or caramel dip.
