  • 0.75 cup sugar divided into two portions
  • 1 large egg
  • 0.5 cup milk
  • 0.25 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 1.5 teaspoon baking powder
  • 0.75 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 2 medium apples peeled, cored, and diced

Preparation Steps

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.
  • In a bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and cinnamon.
  • In another bowl, whisk together melted butter, sugar, egg, and milk.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  • Fold in the diced apples carefully.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and sprinkle with remaining sugar.
  • Bake for about 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  • Allow to cool before slicing and serving.

Notes

This bread is excellent with a drizzle of caramel sauce on top!
