Preparation Steps
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
In a large bowl, combine the condensed cream of chicken soup, sour cream, and milk until smooth.
Stir in the shredded chicken, diced green chilies, chopped onion, and 1.0 cup of shredded cheddar. Season with salt and black pepper.
Spread the chicken mixture evenly into the prepared baking dish.
Mix the crushed Doritos (reserve 1.0 cup) with melted butter, then sprinkle the mixture over the casserole. Top with the remaining 1.0 cup shredded cheddar cheese.
Bake uncovered for 20–25 minutes, until the casserole is bubbly and the topping is golden.
