  • 3 cups cooked shredded chicken
  • 9.75 oz Doritos (Nacho Cheese) crushed
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 10.5 oz cream of chicken soup
  • 0.5 cup sour cream
  • 0.25 cup milk adjust for desired consistency
  • 2 tbsp butter melted
  • 1 tsp taco seasoning
  • 0.5 cup sliced green onions reserve some for garnish
  • 0.25 cup chopped cilantro optional

Preparation Steps

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  • In a large bowl, combine the cream of chicken soup, sour cream, milk, melted butter, and taco seasoning until smooth.
  • Stir in the shredded chicken, 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese, and sliced green onions until evenly mixed.
  • Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish and spread into an even layer.
  • Sprinkle the crushed Doritos evenly over the top, then sprinkle the remaining 1 cup of cheddar cheese over the Doritos.
  • Bake uncovered for 25–30 minutes, until the casserole is hot and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  • Remove from oven and let rest 5 minutes. Garnish with chopped cilantro and remaining green onions before serving.

Notes

For extra crunch, add fresh chopped tomatoes just before serving. Leftovers keep 3 days refrigerated; reheat covered in the oven or microwave.
