Instructions
Preparation Steps
In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, yeast, and salt.
Gradually add warm water, mixing until a dough forms.
Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5 minutes until smooth.
Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise for an hour.
Preheat the oven to 375°F.
Once risen, stretch the dough into a greased baking dish.
Use your fingers to create dimples in the dough.
Fill each dimple with fruit jam of your choice.
Brush melted butter over the top and sprinkle with sugar.
Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
Let cool slightly before slicing and serving.
Notes
This focaccia can be served warm with a dusting of powdered sugar on top. Try pairing it with coffee for a delightful snack!
