Instructions
Preparation Steps
In a saucepan, combine water and butter, and bring to a boil over medium heat.
Remove from heat, and stir in the flour, sugar, and salt until a dough forms.
Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition until smooth.
Heat oil in a deep skillet over medium-high heat.
Spoon the dough into a piping bag fitted with a star tip.
Pipe strips of dough into the hot oil, frying until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side.
Remove and drain on paper towels.
Mix sugar and cinnamon in a bowl, then coat the warm churros in the mixture.
Notes
Serve with chocolate sauce for dipping or a sprinkle of sea salt for flavor.
