Instructions
Preparation Steps
In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and cook until translucent.
Add the minced garlic and sliced mushrooms to the skillet. Sauté until mushrooms are tender.
Add the chicken pieces, cooking until they are browned on all sides.
Sprinkle the flour over the chicken mixture and stir well.
Slowly pour in the chicken broth, stirring constantly until the mixture thickens.
Stir in the sour cream and Dijon mustard until well combined. Cook for a few more minutes over low heat.
Serve the stroganoff over egg noodles or rice, garnished with fresh parsley.
Notes
This dish is great with a side of steamed vegetables. For extra flavor, add a splash of white wine to the sauce!
