Instructions
Preparation Steps
In a large bowl, combine warm milk and yeast; let it sit for 5 minutes until frothy.
Mix in pumpkin puree, sugar, salt, and melted butter to the yeast mixture.
Gradually add flour, one cup at a time, until a soft dough forms.
Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5 minutes until smooth.
Place dough in a greased bowl, cover with a cloth, and let rise for 1 hour.
After rising, roll out dough onto a floured surface into a 12x18 inch rectangle.
Spread softened butter and sprinkle with cinnamon and nutmeg.
Roll the dough tightly and cut into 12 equal rolls.
Place rolls in a greased baking dish and let them rise for another 30 minutes.
Preheat the oven to 350°F and bake rolls for 25 minutes until golden brown.
Let cool slightly before serving warm with icing if desired.
Notes
Try adding chopped nuts for extra texture or drizzle with caramel for added indulgence.
