  • 1 cup chopped apples Use tart apples like Granny Smith.
  • 1 cup powdered sugar For glaze.

Preparation Steps

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9-inch round cake pan.
  • In a large bowl, mix the flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.
  • In another bowl, whisk the eggs and then stir in the milk.
  • Combine the wet and dry ingredients gently. Fold in the chopped apples.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared pan. Bake for 45 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  • Allow the cake to cool before removing from the pan.
  • For the glaze, mix the powdered sugar with a little water until smooth, and drizzle it over the cooled cake.
