Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 2 cup vanilla ice cream
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 8 piece saltine crackers crushed
  • 1 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 0.5 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 tbsp chocolate syrup optional, for drizzle or swirl

Instructions

Preparation Steps

  • Place the saltine crackers in a zip-top bag and crush them with a rolling pin until mostly fine crumbs remain.
  • Add the vanilla ice cream, whole milk, crushed crackers, sugar, and vanilla extract to a blender.
  • Blend on medium speed until smooth and well combined, about 20 to 30 seconds. Stop and scrape down the sides if needed.
  • If you like a chocolate swirl, either drizzle chocolate syrup inside the glass before pouring or add 1 tablespoon to the blender and pulse briefly.
  • Pour the shake into two chilled glasses, sprinkle a little extra crushed cracker on top, and serve immediately with a straw.

Notes

Best enjoyed immediately. For a thinner shake, add more milk 0.25 cup at a time. Use low-sodium crackers if you prefer a milder salt flavor.
