Instructions
Preparation Steps
In a large bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth and creamy.
Gradually add the sifted powdered sugar to the cream cheese, mixing until a stiff dough forms.
Roll the mixture into 24 equal-sized balls (about 1 tablespoon each) and place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 20 minutes.
Melt the white chocolate chips in a heatproof bowl set over barely simmering water or in 20-second bursts in the microwave, stirring until smooth.
Using a fork, dip each chilled ball into the melted white chocolate to coat, allowing excess to drip off, then place back on the parchment.
Sprinkle the crushed peppermint candies over the coated balls while the chocolate is still wet. Let the chocolate set completely at room temperature or refrigerate for 10 minutes.
Store finished Christmas balls in an airtight container in the refrigerator until ready to serve.
Notes
Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days or freeze for up to 1 month. Bring to room temperature before serving for best texture.
