  • 8 oz cream cheese softened
  • 2.5 cup powdered sugar sifted
  • 12 oz white chocolate chips for coating; melts well
  • 1 cup crushed peppermint candies finely crushed for topping

Preparation Steps

  • In a large bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth and creamy.
  • Gradually add the sifted powdered sugar to the cream cheese, mixing until a stiff dough forms.
  • Roll the mixture into 24 equal-sized balls (about 1 tablespoon each) and place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 20 minutes.
  • Melt the white chocolate chips in a heatproof bowl set over barely simmering water or in 20-second bursts in the microwave, stirring until smooth.
  • Using a fork, dip each chilled ball into the melted white chocolate to coat, allowing excess to drip off, then place back on the parchment.
  • Sprinkle the crushed peppermint candies over the coated balls while the chocolate is still wet. Let the chocolate set completely at room temperature or refrigerate for 10 minutes.
  • Store finished Christmas balls in an airtight container in the refrigerator until ready to serve.

Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days or freeze for up to 1 month. Bring to room temperature before serving for best texture.
