Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 3.9 oz instant chocolate pudding mix (1 package)
  • 2 cup cold milk whole or 2% for best texture
  • 4 fl oz chocolate liqueur
  • 4 fl oz vanilla vodka
  • 1 cup whipped topping (thawed) about 8 oz tub
  • 1 cup chocolate sandwich cookies, finely crushed for rimming and topping
  • 2 tbsp chocolate shavings or cocoa powder for garnish
  • 12 unit small plastic or glass shot cups

Instructions

Preparation Steps

  • Place the crushed chocolate sandwich cookies on a shallow plate. Dip the rim of each shot cup in a little milk, then press the rim into the crushed cookies to coat. Set cups aside.
  • In a medium bowl, whisk together the instant chocolate pudding mix and cold milk until the pudding begins to thicken, about 2 minutes.
  • Add the chocolate liqueur and vanilla vodka to the pudding mixture and whisk until smooth and fully combined.
  • Fold the whipped topping gently into the pudding mixture until no streaks remain and the mixture is light and airy.
  • Spoon or pipe the pudding mixture into the prepared shot cups, filling each about three-quarters full.
  • Top each shot with a small dollop of reserved whipped topping and sprinkle with additional crushed cookies or chocolate shavings.
  • Chill the pudding shots in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour to set. Serve chilled.

Notes

Make these up to a day ahead and keep covered in the fridge. For a non-alcoholic version, replace the liqueur and vodka with extra milk or coffee-flavored syrup.
