Instructions
Preparation Steps
Preheat the oven to 450 F (232 C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a large bowl, whisk together the self-rising flour, sugar, and salt until evenly combined.
Cut the cold cubed butter into the flour mixture using a pastry cutter or your fingertips until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
Pour in the cold 7 Up and stir gently with a fork until just combined — do not overmix.
Drop spoonfuls of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
Bake for 12 minutes or until the tops are golden brown. Remove from oven and brush with melted butter. Serve warm.
Notes
These biscuits are best served warm. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 2 days.
