Among vegan desserts, the brownie takes the least time to whip up. By changing a couple of components from the standard recipe we can achieve a fudgy, delicious, and considerably healthier vegan brownie. The vegan brownie is better for you since… To begin with, this dish does not call for butter, a dairy product that is high in saturated fat and cholesterol. In addition, it can be used in place of eggs, which are a source of cholesterol despite their high protein content.

If you’re looking for a sugar-free vegan dessert option, vegan brownies are a great choice. We’ve used Splenda, a natural sweetener that’s much better for you than sugar, but feel free to omit it altogether. Even if the sweetness level will be reduced, the end result will still be a tasty treat.

This version of the typical chocolate brownie is cooked with oat flour, although you may use a specially cultivated oat flour to make it gluten-free. Oats have a protein whose structure is quite similar to that of gluten, hence it is potential to develop intolerance. However, there are several gluten-free oat flour options on the market today. In this recipe, we will show you how to whip up a batch of vegan brownies in no time.

Ingredients

Oat flour, about 5 tablespoons.
Add 2 tbsp. of cocoa powder.
1 serving of almond milk or soy milk
1 tsp. of synthetic yeast (baking powder)
Nuts, enough for one handful
Dried cranberries, about a handful’s worth
Splenda or stevia, one dessert tablespoon
3 garlic cloves 1 olive oil tablespoon
1 mL of pure vanilla extract

Mix together the oat flour, baking soda, and baking powder in a bowl once they have been sifted.
Finally, sift in some cocoa powder and give everything a good toss to combine.
Toss in the soy milk, vanilla extract, and olive oil. Batter for vegan brownies is ready when all ingredients are thoroughly combined.
Spread the batter in a baking dish and top it with walnuts and blueberries for a vegan take on a traditional brownie. Cook it at 170 degrees Celsius for 20 minutes.

Your vegan brownie can also be microwaved. Two minutes of full blast would do the trick. Each microwave is different and may require more or less time, so be sure to monitor it. Alternatively, you can save time and effort by making your vegan brownies in a cup instead of a mold.
The time has come! In contrast to the traditional brownie recipe that calls for eggs and butter, this vegan version is simple to make and tastes great.
