Without fudge in the house, the holidays are not the same. I’ll admit that the time required to make fudge caused me to stop doing so. There is currently a fudge that can be prepared in a matter of minutes.

You should try this recipe and keep it on hand. This can be prepared whenever you want to enjoy fudge.
Paula Deen has a lot of my support. She is one of my role models. Her 5-minute fudge recipe is one of my favorites. This recipe is really simple to follow. Simply a few basic components are required to make this. The most delicious fudge will be ready in no time if you prepare this in only five minutes!

Among my obsessions is making fudge. To pique the taste buds, all it takes is a single, modest step. The reason I adore this Paula Deen recipe for 5-minute fudge is that I can prepare my preferred fudge without spending an eternity in the kitchen! Even a young child could do this dish because it is so simple! For busy days, this 5-minute fudge is the ideal dessert. The best thing about this recipe is how easy it can be adjusted to suit your mood!

 

Ingredients:

  • 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk (397g)
  • 3 cups (510g) semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1/4 cup (57g) unsalted butter, cubed
  • 1 teaspoon (5ml) vanilla extract
  • Optional mix-ins: chopped nuts, marshmallows, dried fruits, etc. (as desired)

Directions:

  1. In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the sweetened condensed milk, chocolate chips, and butter.
  2. Microwave the mixture on high for 1 minute. Stir well, and continue microwaving in 30-second intervals, stirring each time until the chocolate chips are completely melted and the mixture is smooth.
  3. Stir in the vanilla extract and any desired mix-ins.
  4. Pour the fudge mixture into a greased 8×8-inch (20x20cm) baking dish and spread it evenly.
  5. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours or until the fudge is set.
  6. Once set, cut the fudge into small squares and enjoy!

Notes:

  • Experiment with different mix-ins to add texture and flavor variations to your fudge.
  • Store the fudge in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to two weeks.
  • Bring the fudge to room temperature for a few minutes before serving to enhance its creamy texture.
