You can make a tasty and impressive dish by roasting brussels sprouts with olive oil and seasonings of your choice.

I love making this roasted brussels sprouts recipe because it makes a delicious and healthy side dish. There are many ways to make this recipe, including one that is guaranteed to turn out perfectly every time. Try these as a simple side dish for a weeknight meal. Even if the mere thought of eating Brussels sprouts makes you want to gag, you should give this dish a shot. The Brussels sprouts you scoffed at as a kid have nothing on these roasted versions (trust me, I used to push them away too). These are delicious because they are crisp, caramelized, and almost sweet.

It’s not surprising if you end up eating these delicious treats straight from the baking sheet. The secret to perfectly crisp roasted Brussels sprouts lies in a long roasting time in the oven. This method guarantees a tasty batch of Brussels sprouts every time.

If you’re looking for a versatile side dish, look no further than these Brussels sprouts, which are also fancy (and delicious) enough to serve at a formal dinner party.

Ingredients:

Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved, weighing 1 1/2 pounds

1 tablespoon of pure olive oil and 1 pinch of salt

One-half teaspoon of kosher salt

a quarter of a teaspoon of pepper

Toppings and seasonings are a la carte.

Instructions:

Step 1:

The oven should be preheated to 400 degrees Fahrenheit with a rack positioned in the upper third of the oven. In the middle of a large, rimmed baking sheet, put the Brussels sprouts.

Step 2:

Sprinkle with salt, pepper, and other seasonings to taste, then drizzle with olive oil. Spread Brussels sprouts in a single layer on a baking sheet and gently toss until evenly coated. Turn the Brussels sprouts cut-side down to get extra crispiness.

Step 3:

Brussels sprouts are done baking when they are dark brown on the outside, crisp on the inside, and have a light char on the outer leaves. Add more salt and pepper if desired.

Step 4:

Take it off the heat and serve it up straight away.

Variations and suggestions

Brussels sprouts, once cooked, can be kept in the fridge for up to 4 days if stored in an airtight container.

Brussels sprouts can be reheated in the oven by spreading them out on a baking sheet that has been lightly greased. Ideally, you’ll want to reheat it in the oven at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for about 5 minutes, but no longer than 10 minutes. They can also be reheated in the microwave for 30 seconds to a minute on a plate.
