Almost everyone who eats at a Chinese restaurant loves this dish.

Crispy chicken in a savory sauce, it’s almost ideal. The best part is that it’s ideal for a wide variety of people who are looking for a way to recreate that restaurant’s cuisine in their own kitchens. You’re not alone if you don’t want to go out and get it or if you don’t have the funds to do so. But with this recipe, you can make it at home, and it will taste almost identical to the original.

It’s also pretty cool how simple of a project this is to put together. Some people are taken aback by how simple this is the very first time they try it. Because we make it easy and many people don’t know how easy it really is.

In addition, it’s the ideal meal to prepare when you have no idea what to cook for dinner.

Ingredients:

CORNSTARCH SLURRY:

a single beaten egg
1/3 a cup of soy sauce
1/2 tsp.

SAUCE:

1/2 tsp. flour
The ingredients are: 1/8 cup water 1 1/2 teaspoons of minced fresh garlic
1/3 tsp salt
A quarter of a cup of soy sauce
White vinegar, 1/8 cup
2 ounces of dry white wine
Serve with 2 cups of chicken broth. To make the chicken more crispy, cook it without the sauce and add 3/4 cup, 2 tablespoons of water, and 2 pinches of soy sauce to the pan.

OTHER:

2 pounds of chicken breasts, diced
Double the amount of green onions, or two bunches
chili peppers, dried, between five and eight
broccoli

Instructions:

Put all of the sauce ingredients into a quart jar and shake until everything is evenly combined. You can prepare this in advance, but you should shake it up before using.

Start by making the cornstarch slurry in a bowl, and then add the other ingredients one by one. As you continue to use this, you will need to add more cornstarch. Like peanut butter, the consistency is ideal.

Coat the chicken in the cornstarch slurry, making sure all of the pieces are covered and that any excess can drain off with a fork.

Fry the chicken in hot oil until it’s golden and crispy. Prepare in a wok. Make sure that about eight items can be checked off as complete at once.

Take the chicken, pat it dry with paper towels, and put it in an oven set to its warmest setting to keep it warm while you finish preparing the rest of the meal. The extra chicken pieces can be used in a similar fashion.

Stir the oil, green onions, and chili pepper for about 30 seconds.

Cooking your sauce while stirring it until it thickens is what’s needed. You want it to resemble a bubbling candy.

You should throw in the chicken and broccoli and quickly stir them together. Add another minute or two to the cooking time and then serve over some of the leftover rice for a complete and satisfying meal.
