This is a fantastic dish! This cake has been a part of my life since I was a kid since my grandma always baked it. You can’t go wrong because it’s so juicy and luscious. Be ready to be blown away.

Until you try this mayonnaise cake recipe, you haven’t experienced a true chocolate cake. This cake recipe is a mainstay in my sweets cookbook because it requires few ingredients and is simple to execute. If you’re not a lover of mayonnaise, don’t worry; you won’t be able to taste it here.

The consistency that the mayonnaise adds to the cake is the nicest aspect. No one enjoys biting into a cake that is lacking in moisture. Mayonnaise works wonders since it keeps the final product wet and chewy. The use of this unusual ingredient elevates the flavor of the chocolate cake recipe to new heights.

Actually, it’s lot simpler to bake a cake from scratch than you might think; all we need are a few common kitchen ingredients. Although purchasing frosting from the store can speed things along, we prefer to create our own from scratch whenever possible.

 

 

INGREDIENTS

 

The equivalent of three cups of all-purpose flour
Mayonnaise, 1.5 cups
1 1/2 mugs of sugar
a quarter of a cup of cocoa powder, unsweetened
2 1/4 teaspoons baking powder 1 1/2 cups water
One and a half tablespoons of baking soda
one and a half teaspoons of vanilla extract
Frosting (store-bought or homemade) (store-bought or homemade)

 

 

 

Set oven temperature to 350°F. In a spray bottle, coat two circular baking pans measuring 9 inches in diameter. Leave aside.
In a bowl, combine the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, and baking soda. Mix in some mayonnaise to help everything come together.
Blend in water and vanilla essence until batter is smooth. Split the batter in half and place in two identical baking dishes.
To ensure that your cakes come out perfectly, bake them for 30 to 40 minutes, or until a cake tester inserted in the center comes out clean.
Just wait till it cools down fully. Make sure to start with a cake on the bottom of the serving platter. Spread some icing inside. Place the second cake on top and frost the entire thing.
