I can’t resist a plate of crispy French fries. Due to our exceptionally high metabolic rates, my younger brother and I frequently indulge in Wendy’s/Jr./Mickey-D’s/fries Carl’s at the ungodly hour of midnight. As an adult, I’ve made an effort to curb my habit by shifting away from the “fries with everything” mentality I’ve held for the past two decades.
For breakfast at iHop with my family, I had chicken strips and hash browns. Even if pancakes are fantastic, nothing can compare to french fries smothered in ketchup.
Like I stated, I’m attempting to limit my intake of french fries these days. My husband gladly gives it away, so I usually just give some to him to enjoy. Or 60%. What he’s doing there is fantastic.
And when I’m sweating it out at home and craving a wide range of fries, I usually prepare my own instead of ordering a takeout.
INGREDIENTS:
Approximately three to four large russet potatoes, quartered
Four Tablespoons Of Olive Oil
The equivalent of 2 tablespoons of salt
Garlic powder, 2 tablespoons
Seasoning for Italian food: 2 tablespoons
grated Parmesan cheese equivalent to a half cup
Dipped in ranch or blue cheese, with a sprinkle of fresh parsley (or cilantro)
INSTRUCTIONS :
Prepare the oven to 375 degrees. Prepare a big baking pan with some shortening and set it aside.
Wedge the potatoes and place them in a big basin. Drizzle with olive oil, then toss to evenly coat everything. Salt, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning should be mixed together in a small basin using a whisk. After the potato quarters have been coated with grated cheese and the seasoning combination, they should be sprinkled with the mixture.
Put the potato quarters on the baking sheet that has been prepared in a single layer with the skin side facing down. Bake for 25-35 minutes until fork soft and golden brown. Parsley that has been finely chopped and dressing for dipping can be sprinkled on top.
