Tips
What’s the best way to make the dough?
If you’re interested in making a cobbler dough that is correct, it needs to be like a biscuit, and it’s mixed with a hand that’s light, so that it rises up, and from there, you want to make sure that the berry is light in the texture that it is. You want to make sure when you mix it, the ingredients that are dry just barely get moistened.
Using about half a teaspoon of ginger, cinnamon, cardamom or nutmeg, a warm baking spice to this does create a nice, aromatic flavor to this. A bit of vanilla to this actually enhances the sweetness of the berry.
Summer berries are the best kinds of berries for this, since it creates an everyday sort of dessert magical. It’s something that really does give it a unique flavor.
Can I try raspberries or blueberries?
