I’m curious about the health benefits of cabbage, if anyone knows.
Vitamin K, Vitamin C, potassium, and magnesium are just few of the many minerals found in cabbage. The anti-inflammatory and digestive benefits of cabbage are well-documented. It may also help reduce cholesterol and blood pressure.

SO, EXACTLY HOW DO YOU MAKE FRIED CABBAGE?
Bacon is the foundation of this dish, and it is fried till crispy. Cooked bacon fat is poured over a mound of sliced onions, which are followed by cabbage that has been finely chopped. When everything is combined and cooked, the cabbage becomes wilted. Just sprinkle with some chopped parsley and serve!

SO, HOW DO YOU CORING A CABBAGE?
To get the most of this recipe, you should cut out the center of the cabbage, which is usually rough and not very tasty. The core of the cabbage can be easily removed by slicing through the middle of a chopped cabbage head.

FRIED CABBAGE HINTS
No bacon in the fridge? Alternatively, you may experiment with ham or smoked sausage. To make up for the absence of bacon fat, you will need to add oil to the pan if you choose this method.
For a change of pace, try mixing up your fried cabbage with some purple cabbage, some Savory cabbage, or good ol’ fashioned green cabbage.
You shouldn’t use pre-shredded cabbage in this recipe. For the most genuine taste, chop the cabbage into 1-inch pieces.
Make a large batch of fried cabbage so you have plenty to eat for lunch the next day.

Ingredients :

The equivalent of six slices of bacon (chopped)
Size of a huge onion (diced)
A single huge cabbage head (cored and sliced)
Half a teaspoon of salt (or to taste)
Black pepper, pounded to a powder, 1 teaspoon
Half a teaspoon of onion powder
Half a teaspoon of garlic powder
Cayenne pepper

Instructions:

To begin, put the bacon in a big stock pot and cook it for about 10 minutes over medium heat, or until it reaches the desired crispiness. Take out the bacon and set it aside until the end.

2. Put in the onion and garlic, and simmer and stir for about 10 minutes, or until the onion becomes caramelized.

Add the cabbage and whisk it in right away, then keep cooking and stirring for another 10 minutes.

4Add seasonings such as salt, pepper, onion powder, garlic powder, and paprika. Put it on low heat, cover it, and let it simmer for another 30 minutes, stirring regularly.

5, when the cabbage is done cooking, crumble in the bacon and mix it in.
