Shockingly cheesy and creamy baked spaghetti. This is the simplest and most delicious form of comfort food there is.

I know. Since the soccer season is set to begin the day after Labor Day, I decided to post this instead of a healthy dish, juice cleanse, or quinoa detox.

The boys, I’m sorry to say, but they’ll need their stretchy pants for that.

No, this is the epitome of comfort food. Food safety is compromised. This is not a skinny thing. There’s no radiance to it. It’s the very greatest spaghetti there is.

We’re talking about a perfectly baked spaghetti dish with layers of noodles, cream cheese, sour cream, and meaty marinara sauce.

INGREDIENTS :

2 teaspoons finely chopped fresh parsley leaves

Spaghetti, one pound’s worth

Toss in 1/2 cup of shredded cheddar cheese
one-half cup of grated Monterey Jack

1/2 cup water 1 tbsp olive oil
Ground beef, one pound
Diced Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper, plus one tiny onion
1 can (28 ounces) (28 ounces) tomato paste
1 tsp dried basil
a half a teaspoon of dried oregano
12 of a teaspoon of parsley powder
An optional 1/2 teaspoon of crushed red pepper flakes
1/4 cup of cream cheese frosting
One-half cup of sour cream

DIRECTIONS :

Make sure your oven is heated to at least 350 degrees F. Prepare a 9-by-13-inch baking dish by lightly oiling it or spraying it with nonstick cooking spray.
Pasta, cooked in a big pot of boiling salted water according package recommendations, should be drained thoroughly.
Using a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Ground beef and onion should be added and cooked for about 3 to 5 minutes, crumbled as it cooks, and then seasoned with salt and pepper to taste. Remove any extra fat.
In a large bowl, combine smashed tomatoes, basil, oregano, parsley, and red pepper flakes.
Mix the sour cream and cream cheese together in a small bowl.
Put the spaghetti in the baking dish, then top with the meat and cream cheese mixture and sprinkle with cheese.
Put it in the oven for about 15 to 20 minutes, or until it’s bubbling and hot throughout.
Garnish with parsley if you like and serve right away.
