Chicken and Bacon Fried Rice: A Savory Fusion of Flavors in One Pan

A delicious fusion dish, chicken and bacon fried rice combines Western flavors with Asian ingredients. It draws inspiration from the well-known Chinese fried rice and adds the savory flavors of crispy bacon to it. Many people adore the distinctive and fulfilling cuisine that is the result of this mix. ingredients:

  • 2 cups cooked rice (preferably chilled)
  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, diced
  • 6 strips of bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 1 cup mixed vegetables (such as carrots, peas, and corn)
  • 3 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 2 eggs, lightly beaten
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Green onions for garnish

  1. Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the diced chicken and cook until it is no longer pink in the center. Remove the chicken from the pan and set it aside.
  2. In the same pan, add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, taking care not to burn it. Add the mixed vegetables and cook until they are tender-crisp.
  3. Push the vegetables to one side of the pan and pour the beaten eggs into the cleared space. Scramble the eggs until they are cooked through.
  4. Add the chilled cooked rice to the pan, breaking up any clumps with a spatula. Stir-fry the rice with the vegetables and eggs for a few minutes until it is heated through.
  5. Drizzle the soy sauce, oyster sauce, and sesame oil over the rice. Stir to evenly distribute the sauces and coat the rice.
  6. Add the cooked chicken and crumbled bacon to the pan. Continue stirring to incorporate all the ingredients and heat them together.
  7. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Be mindful of the saltiness of the bacon and soy sauce when adjusting the seasoning.
  8. Once everything is well combined and heated through, remove the pan from the heat.
  9. Transfer the Chicken and Bacon Fried Rice to serving plates or bowls. Garnish with sliced green onions for a pop of freshness and added visual appeal.
