Kentucky Butter Cake

This butter cake from Kentucky has a rich butter sauce and is delicious. It is produced with ingredients that are easily accessible.

Ingredients:

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 4 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 325°F and generously grease a Bundt pan with butter or cooking spray.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Mix well to ensure even distribution of the ingredients.
  3. Add the softened butter, milk, eggs, and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients. Using an electric mixer, beat the mixture on medium speed for about 2 minutes until the batter is smooth and creamy.
  4. Pour the batter into the prepared Bundt pan, spreading it evenly.
  5. Bake for approximately 60-70 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean.
  6. While the cake is still warm, prepare the butter glaze.

Butter Glaze Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

Butter Glaze Instructions:

  1. In a saucepan, melt the butter over low heat. Add the water and sugar, stirring until the sugar is dissolved.
  2. Remove the mixture from the heat and stir in the vanilla extract.
  3. Slowly pour the butter glaze over the warm cake, ensuring it covers the entire surface.
  4. Allow the cake to cool completely in the pan before transferring it to a serving plate.
