Ingredients :

Dough:

1.18 tsp. of dry active yeast

One teaspoon of white sugar

Quarter cup of hot water

1,500 milliliters of olive oil

1/4 teaspoon pepper

1/2 tsp. of undiluted white vinegar

Bread flour, all-purpose flour, or 1 1/2 – 2 cups

Topping:

Salted butter, 1 1/2 tablespoons

garlic, 2 minced cloves

A third of a cup of grated parmesan

1 1/4 cups of mozzarella cheese, shredded

Instructions:

Step 1:

Put the sugar and yeast in a stand mixer with half the warm water. Mix everything together and set it aside for 5 minutes to chill. Stir in the remaining 14 cup of warm water along with the olive oil, salt, and vinegar.

Step 2:

With the mixer on low, add the flour slowly while mixing; then, using your hands, knead the dough for a few minutes, or until it is smooth and slightly sticky. After that, place the bowl in a warm area for an hour with a dry towel on top.

Step 3:

Put a pizza stone or an upside-down cookie sheet in the oven and preheat it to 475 degrees Fahrenheit. The next step is to roll out the dough into a rectangle that is about a third of an inch thick using a rolling pin or your hands.

Step 4:

Spread the garlic butter evenly over the dough, all the way to the edges. Combine the garlic powder and melted butter in a small bowl. Put some mozzarella and parmesan on top.

Step 5:

Put the dough on the pizza stone that has been preheated in the oven. Wait 8–12 minutes, or until bubbly and golden on top.

Step 6:

Dipped in a sauce like marinara or ranch is a tasty option.

Tips and variations

You can get a head start on these breadsticks by making the dough about 3-4 hours before you plan to bake them and letting it rise in the fridge.

Prepare the dough and coat it with nonstick cooking spray before freezing. Put it in a freezer-safe bag. Homemade dough can be frozen for up to two to three months.
